š¦ Theme: The Table of Thanksgiving
š Scripture:
“But those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life.” ā John 4:14 (GNTD)
š Background:
Jesus speaks these words to a Samaritan woman at a wellāa place of daily need and quiet desperation. She came for water, but He offered her something far greater: living water. This verse reveals the heart of the gospelāJesus satisfies our deepest thirst and offers eternal life. Itās not a temporary fix, but a continual spring within us.
š” Devotional:
One chilly November morning, I hiked to a hidden waterfall near Dahlonega. The sound of rushing water echoed through the trees, steady and life-giving. I thought of John 4:14: āA spring⦠providing life-giving water.ā
Jesus meets us in our ordinary placesāour wells of routine, weariness, and longingāand offers something extraordinary. Living water. Not just for today, but for eternity. At The Table of Thanksgiving, we donāt just come to be filledāwe come to be refreshed. His presence becomes a spring within us, flowing with grace, peace, and purpose.
If youāre feeling spiritually dry, come to the Source. He doesnāt just quench your thirstāHe transforms it into overflow.
šŖ Reflection Questions:
- What are you thirsting for right nowāpeace, clarity, purpose?
- How has Jesus refreshed you in past seasons of dryness?
- What does it mean for His presence to become a spring within you?
š Prayer:
Jesus, You are my Living Water.
I come to You thirsty, longing for renewal.
Fill me with Your Spirit and let Your life flow through me.
Refresh my soul and help me overflow with gratitude and grace.
Amen.
š ļø Application:
Create a āgratitude wellā this weekāa journal or jar where you write one way Jesus has refreshed you each day.
As you reflect, ask Him to deepen that spring within you and show you how to pour it out to others.
š Takeaway:
Jesus is our Living Water.
At The Table of Thanksgiving, we drink deeplyāand overflow with eternal life.
