Sent with Purpose

✨ January Theme: Set My Course

🕊️ Welcome Moment

There is a deep longing in every heart to know that your life matters—that your steps are meaningful, your work is significant, and your presence on this earth is intentional. Ephesians 2:10 speaks directly into that longing with a truth that steadies your course:
You were created on purpose, for purpose, by a God who never makes mistakes.

Today, let your spirit rest in the assurance that you are not wandering. You are being sent.

📖 Scripture Immersion

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Read it slowly, imagining these words written over your life like a banner of identity and calling.

🌄 Snapshot

Picture an artisan at work—hands steady, eyes focused, shaping something with intention and care. Every curve, every detail, every stroke is purposeful. Nothing is accidental.

Now imagine that artisan is God, and the masterpiece is you.
Not mass‑produced.
Not rushed.
Not random.

You were crafted with precision and love, then placed in this moment of history with assignments already prepared—opportunities to reflect His heart, extend His kindness, and carry His light.

You are not simply existing.
You are sent.

🔍 Deep Dive

“We are God’s handiwork…”
The word handiwork (poiēma) means masterpiece, poem, something beautifully made. Your identity begins with God’s craftsmanship, not your performance.

“…created in Christ Jesus…”
Your purpose flows from your relationship with Christ. You are renewed, reshaped, and empowered through Him.

“…to do good works…”
These are not random acts of kindness—they are divine assignments, woven into your everyday life.

“…which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Your purpose is not something you must invent. It is something you discover as you walk with Him.

As you Set Your Course this January, remember:
You are not trying to create a purpose.
You are stepping into one God already designed.

🧭 Companion Questions

  1. What part of your life feels most connected to God’s purpose right now?
  2. Where do you sense God inviting you to step forward in obedience or courage?
  3. How does knowing you are God’s handiwork reshape the way you see yourself?
  4. What “good work” might God be preparing for you in this season?

🚶‍♀️ Pilgrimage Practice

  • Identity Declaration: Speak this aloud today: “I am God’s handiwork, sent with purpose.”
  • Purpose Step: Do one intentional act of goodness—big or small—as a response to God’s calling.
  • Quiet Listening: Spend five minutes in silence asking God to highlight one area where He wants to use you.
  • Purpose Walk: Take a walk and imagine God placing purposeful steps before you, one after another.

🙏 Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for creating me with intention and sending me with purpose. Help me walk in the good works You have prepared for me. As I set my course this year, align my steps with Your calling and let my life reflect Your craftsmanship. Use me in ways that honor You and bless others. Amen.
