The Feast to Come

🦃 Theme: The Table of Thanksgiving

📖 Scripture:
“Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Happy are those who have been invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’”Revelation 19:9 (GNTD)

📜 Background:
Revelation 19 paints a picture of celebration and victory—the wedding feast of the Lamb. This is the culmination of God’s redemptive story, where Christ is united with His bride, the Church. The invitation to this feast is the ultimate expression of grace, joy, and belonging. It’s not just a future event—it’s a present hope.

💡 Devotional:
One recent evening, I gathered with friends at Shady Maple in East Earl, PA. The buffet stretched endlessly—plates piled high, laughter echoing, hearts full. It was more than a meal; it was a glimpse of joy, community, and abundance.

Revelation 19:9 reminds us of a greater feast still to come—the wedding banquet of the Lamb. This isn’t just a metaphor; it’s a promise. God is preparing a table where every tear is wiped away, every heart is whole, and every soul is satisfied. The Table of Thanksgiving here on earth is a rehearsal for heaven’s celebration.

If you’ve ever felt left out, overlooked, or spiritually hungry, take heart: you’ve been invited. The feast is coming—and your seat is reserved.

🪞 Reflection Questions:

  • How does the image of a heavenly feast encourage you today?
  • What does it mean to live with anticipation of the wedding banquet of the Lamb?
  • How can you extend God’s invitation to others this season?

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the invitation to Your feast.
I receive it with joy and gratitude.
Help me live with hope, share Your love, and celebrate Your goodness.
Let my heart overflow with thanksgiving as I await the day we dine together in glory.
Amen.

🛠️ Application:
This week, host a meal or share a moment of fellowship with someone who needs encouragement.
As you gather, talk about the joy of God’s invitation and the feast to come.
Let your table reflect the welcome and warmth of heaven.

📌 Takeaway:
The Table of Thanksgiving points us forward.
The feast is coming—and we are joyfully invited.
