The Lamp for My Feet

✨ January Theme: Set My Course

🕊️ Welcome Moment

Imagine stepping onto a path at dawn. The world is still dim, the horizon only beginning to glow. You can’t see the whole trail—only the next few steps. Yet in your hand is a lamp, steady and warm, casting just enough light to move forward with confidence.

This is the life of faith.
God rarely shows the entire journey, but He always gives enough light for the next step.

Today, let your heart rest in the gentle guidance of His Word.

📖 Scripture Immersion

Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

Read it slowly—let it illuminate the places where you need direction.

🌄 Snapshot

Picture a traveler walking through a forest trail at night. The darkness is thick, the path uneven. But she carries a lantern. It doesn’t reveal the whole journey—only a small circle of light around her feet.

Yet that small circle is enough.
Step by step, she moves forward.
Step by step, the path unfolds.

This is how God leads us.
Not with floodlights that remove all mystery, but with a lamp that invites trust.

🔍 Deep Dive

“Your word…”
God’s Word is not just information—it is revelation. It reveals His heart, His wisdom, His direction.

“…is a lamp for my feet…”
A lamp illuminates what is close. God gives clarity for today, not necessarily for the entire year. He guides you in the present moment.

“…a light on my path.”
His Word not only helps you take the next step—it shapes the direction of your entire journey. It keeps you from wandering, stumbling, or losing your way.

As you Set Your Course this January, remember:
You don’t need to see the whole road.
You only need to walk in the light you’ve been given.

🙏 Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You for being the light that guides my path. As I set my course this year, help me walk in the truth of Your Word. Illuminate the steps before me, steady my heart when the way feels dim, and teach me to trust the light You provide. May Your Word shape my direction, my decisions, and my desires. Amen.
