Wisdom for the Way

✨ January Theme: Set My Course

🕊️ Welcome Moment

As you step into a new day—and a new year—you may find yourself facing decisions that feel bigger than your understanding. Some paths look promising, others uncertain. Some choices feel weighty, others confusing.

James 1:5 offers a simple, hope‑filled truth:
You don’t have to navigate any of it alone.

God is not stingy with wisdom. He delights in giving it. Today, breathe deeply and open your heart to the guidance He freely offers.

📖 Scripture Immersion

James 1:5 (NIV)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

Let this promise settle into the places where you feel unsure.

🌄 Snapshot

Imagine a traveler standing at a fork in the road. The signs are weathered, the paths unfamiliar. She hesitates, unsure which direction leads to safety, purpose, or peace.

Then a guide approaches—calm, kind, and confident.
“I know the way,” He says. “Just ask, and I’ll show you.”

Relief washes over her. She doesn’t need to guess. She only needs to ask.

This is the heart of James 1:5.
God is not hiding His wisdom.
He is offering it—generously, patiently, without judgment.

🔍 Deep Dive

“If any of you lacks wisdom…”
This is an invitation to honesty. God already knows where you feel uncertain. He simply asks you to bring it to Him.

“…you should ask God…”
Wisdom begins with asking—not striving, not overthinking, not leaning on your own understanding. Asking is an act of humility and trust.

“…who gives generously…”
God is not reluctant. He is abundant. His wisdom is not rationed; it flows freely to those who seek it.

“…to all without finding fault…”
God does not shame you for needing guidance. He welcomes your questions and meets you with grace.

“…and it will be given to you.”
This is a promise. Not a possibility.
When you ask with a sincere heart, God responds.

As you Set Your Course this January, remember:
Wisdom is not earned—it is received.
