Today’s devotional invites you to walk in the Spirit by surrendering your understanding and trusting the One who calls you to follow.

Scripture Immersion

1 Corinthians 3:18–23 reminds us that true wisdom begins with humility before God. The world’s wisdom fades, but Christ’s truth endures. Luke 5:1–11 tells of Peter’s encounter with Jesus by the sea. After a long, fruitless night of fishing, Jesus says, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” Peter obeys—and the nets overflow.

When we trust Christ’s word above our own reasoning, miracles unfold in the deep.

Snapshot

A sailor once spent years navigating familiar shores, confident in his charts and experience. One day, a storm forced him into uncharted waters. There, he discovered a hidden island—a place of refuge he’d never known existed.

Deep Dive

Following Jesus requires surrendering the illusion of control. The wisdom of the world says, “Stay where it’s safe.” The wisdom of the Spirit says, “Launch into the deep.”

Peter’s obedience didn’t make sense—but it opened the door to transformation. Christ’s call is not about success; it’s about trust. When we leave behind our own wisdom, we make room for divine revelation. The deep waters of faith are where growth happens—where we learn that Christ is enough.
