Faithful in Every Season: Trusting God and Living with Courage

Welcome Moment

Before you ever took a breath, before you ever prayed a prayer, before you ever reached for God—He chose you. Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians with a breathtaking truth: you were loved, desired, and called according to God’s purpose.

Jesus, in Luke, confronts hearts that resist God’s love and truth. His words remind us that being chosen is not passive—it is an invitation to live awake, responsive, and courageous.

Today, let your heart rest in this: You are chosen. You are loved. You are wanted by God.

Scripture Immersion

Ephesians 1:4 — “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him in love.”

Luke 11:28 — “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”

Chosen in love. Blessed in obedience. Called into holiness. This is the shape of a life rooted in Christ.

Snapshot

A father sits quietly in a rocking chair, holding his newborn daughter. She cannot speak, cannot walk, cannot offer anything—but he loves her completely. Not because of what she can do, but because of who she is.

This is how God loves us. Not earned. Not fragile. Not conditional. Chosen. Cherished. Held.

Deep Dive

Paul’s opening words in Ephesians lift our eyes to the eternal love of God—a love that predates creation itself. You were chosen not out of pity, but out of delight. God’s plan has always been to adopt you, redeem you, and pour out grace upon grace.

But Jesus warns in Luke that many hear God’s Word yet resist it. Being chosen calls for response. Love invites obedience. Grace invites transformation.

To be chosen means:

  • You belong.
  • You are seen.
  • You are called to live differently.
  • You are invited into God’s unfolding story.

God’s love is not merely a comfort—it is a commissioning. It strengthens courage, shapes holiness, and anchors identity.
