The Table of Unity

🦃 Theme: The Table of Thanksgiving

📖 Scripture:
“Because there is one loaf of bread, all of us, though many, are one body, for we all share the same loaf.” — 1 Corinthians 10:17 (GNTD)

📜 Background:
Paul writes to the Corinthian church to remind them of the sacredness of communion and the unity it represents. Though the believers come from different backgrounds and experiences, they are joined together through Christ. Sharing one loaf symbolizes their shared identity in Him—many members, one body.

💡 Devotional:
One November afternoon, I watched family and friends gather around a long table. The dishes were simple, the laughter real, and the love tangible. Though each person brought a different story, we were united by something deeper—gratitude and grace.

Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 10:17 remind us that in Christ, we are one. At The Table of Thanksgiving, we don’t compete for space or portion. The Lord gives us enough—enough bread to share, enough love to bind us, enough grace to cover us. Unity isn’t about sameness; it’s about shared surrender.

When we come to the table, we come as one body. Broken pieces made whole by the One who is always enough.

🪞 Reflection Questions:

  • What does it mean to you to be part of one body in Christ?
  • How has the Lord shown you that He gives enough—spiritually, emotionally, relationally?
  • Who might need a reminder that they belong at the table?

🙏 Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for making us one.
You are the Bread that satisfies and the Love that unites.
Help me live with gratitude and grace, welcoming others to Your table.
Let my heart reflect Your generosity and my life reflect Your unity.
Amen.

🛠️ Application:
This week, reach out to someone who feels disconnected—whether in your church, family, or community.
Invite them to share a meal, a moment, or a prayer.
Let your table be a place where unity is felt and grace is shared.

📌 Takeaway:
At The Table of Thanksgiving, we are one body.
The Lord gives us enough—and in Him, we have more than enough to share.
