Faithful in Every Season: Trusting God and Living with Courage

Welcome Moment

Life often feels like a race—tasks, responsibilities, and noise competing for our attention. Yet in the midst of it all, Jesus calls us to pause. In Martha’s busy home, Mary chose the better part: stillness at His feet. Paul’s transformation echoes that same surrender—turning from striving to listening.

Today, we are invited to slow down and let our hearts become still enough to hear His voice.

Scripture Immersion

Luke 10:42 — “Mary has chosen the better part, and it will not be taken away from her.” Galatians 1:15–16 — “But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me…”

The better part is not found in doing more—it’s found in being with Jesus. Listening transforms our hearts into fertile ground for His Word.

Snapshot

A woman sits in her garden at dawn, coffee cooling beside her. The world is waking, yet she remains still. Birds sing, leaves rustle, and in the quiet, she senses God’s presence.

She realizes that peace doesn’t come from finishing her list—it comes from resting in His love.

Like Mary, she has chosen the better part.

Deep Dive

Paul’s story in Galatians reminds us that transformation begins when we stop striving for approval and start listening to grace. His encounter with Christ reoriented his life from performance to purpose.

Martha’s busyness wasn’t wrong—it simply wasn’t best. Jesus gently reminds her that love grows in presence, not productivity. Sitting at His feet is not inactivity; it’s intimacy.

Choosing the better part means surrendering the need to control and embracing the call to abide. In every season, courage begins with stillness before the Savior.
