Scripture Immersion
Matthew 9:14–17 Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?” And Jesus said to them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse tear is made. Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins; if they do, the skins burst and the wine is spilled, and the skins are destroyed. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”

Imagine standing in a vineyard at dawn. The air is cool, and the vines glisten with dew. A vintner pours new wine into fresh skins, smiling as he explains that old containers cannot hold what is still fermenting—they would burst.
That’s how God works in us. He doesn’t pour His new grace into hearts clinging to old ways. He renews us so we can receive His provision fully. The Lord provides not only the wine but the vessel—He makes us new so His Spirit can dwell richly within.

“Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them?” Jesus reminds us that His presence changes everything. Where He is, joy replaces ritual, and grace fulfills law.
“New wine into fresh wineskins…” God’s provision is dynamic—it expands, transforms, and fills. To receive it, we must be willing to be stretched and renewed.
Walking in the Spirit means trusting that the Lord provides not only what sustains but what transforms. He gives new wine for new seasons, new strength for new callings, and new grace for each day.
