Strengthening Your Faith Daily

Bloom Where God Plants You

Welcome Moment

Faith doesn’t grow all at once. It grows in small, steady ways — through daily trust, daily surrender, daily choosing to believe God even when you cannot see what He is doing. In Luke 17:5, the disciples ask Jesus for something we all long for: “Increase our faith.”

As we continue our April theme, Bloom Where God Plants You, today’s devotional invites you to see faith not as a single moment but as a daily cultivation — like tending a garden, one small act at a time.

Scripture Immersion

Luke 17:5 “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’”

Read it slowly. Let the longing in their request echo in your own heart.

Snapshot

Imagine a gardener walking through her garden at dawn. She kneels beside a small plant — fragile, barely sprouted. She waters it gently, pulls away a few weeds, and turns the soil around it. It doesn’t look like much today, but she knows what it will become.

Faith grows the same way. Not in leaps, but in layers. Not in sudden bursts, but in daily tending. Not through perfection, but through persistence.

The disciples didn’t ask for a miracle, a sign, or a shortcut. They asked for growth — the kind that happens over time, in the quiet places of the heart.

Deep Dive

“The apostles said…” Even those closest to Jesus felt their faith needed strengthening.

“…to the Lord…” Faith grows when we bring our need directly to Him.

“Increase our faith!” This is not a request for more information, but for deeper trust.

Jesus later teaches that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains — reminding us that the quality of faith matters more than the quantity.

As you walk through this month, remember: Faith grows daily, and Jesus delights in strengthening what you bring to Him.

  • Daily Nourishment: Spend a few minutes in Scripture, allowing God’s Word to water your faith.
  • Walking Meditation: As you walk, notice small plants or new growth — reminders that faith grows quietly, steadily, and beautifully over time.

Closing Prayer

Lord, increase my faith. Strengthen what is weak, deepen what is shallow, and steady what feels uncertain. Help me trust You daily — in small steps, quiet moments, and unseen places. Grow my faith like a seed planted in good soil, and help me bloom where You have placed me. Amen.
